Wembley Park has announced the return of the large-scale, site-specific commission ‘A Guiding Light’ to the area’s public Art Trail this winter, transforming Olympic Way into an immersive canvas of light, colour and movement.
Making good use of the sheer scale of the pedestrian boulevard, ‘A Guiding Light’ is comprised of 36 seven-metre-tall banners depicting the 12 hours of the moon rising and the 12 hours of the sun setting. Extending the visual experience, a new series of overhead illumination has also been installed; these twinkling elements sway softly in the breeze, creating a rhythmic counterpoint to the banners and completing the immersive vibe.
Organisers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
