Not normally open to the public, Acton Depot open weekends are a fantastic opportunity to see some of the hundreds of thousands of treasures kept in the working museum storehouse.
What to expect
The depot open days take place three times a year, in April, July and September. This July’s theme is Powering London, looking at how electricity has powered the city for over 125 years, from the first electric trams to sophisticated modern technology. It’s a rare opportunity to see historic vehicles and enjoy behind-the-scenes mini tours, expert talks, family-friendly activities, special displays and demonstrations and more.
Tickets for Acton Depot Open Weekend
Tickets must be booked in advance and cost £19.00; children under 18 go for £10.00 (and free for under 3s). Children 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
