Darbar Festival returns to the Barbican from 28 October–1 November 2026 for five days celebrating the depth and diversity of Indian classical music.
Under this year’s theme, The Shock of the New, the programme brings together leading and rising Hindustani and Carnatic musicians, with many making their festival debuts. Alongside concerts across Barbican Hall and Milton Court, audiences can experience artist talks, family events, an introductory music-appreciation course and a dedicated Yoga & Wellbeing programme featuring live-music yoga, raga meditation and breathwork. Highlights include Midnight Ragas, Darbar’s first-ever late-night concert, featuring violinist Kala Ramnath and veena player Jayanthi Kumaresh.
The festival includes some free activities and some ticketed events. Ticket prices vary, generally ranging from £20.00 to £55.00, plus applicable booking fees. Young Barbican tickets are available for £12.00 to eligible 16–25-year-olds on selected events, subject to availability. Please visit the official Barbican programme for event-specific prices and availability.
