Free Mahjong Classes

Mahjong is played with 144 tiles with symbols and characters. The aim is to build winning combinations, much like poker; sharpen your strategic thinking and your memory as you play.

Perfect for both beginners wanting to learn the game and experienced players looking to refine their strategies, the free workshop offers a guided introduction to one of East Asia’s most iconic cultural and social pastimes. This workshop is part of a wider Lunar New Year celebration across the Peninsula.

Sessions run from 12.30pm-2pm and 2.45pm-4.15pm. Please arrive 10 minutes before your session begins, as any unclaimed slots will be offered to others if you’re not there on time. A limited number of walk-in spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Venue: Bureau Restaurant, 13 Soames Walk, London SE10 0AX
