Greenwich is home to several tourist attractions, including Cutty Sark and The Greenwich Maritime Museum. Another of its iconic sites, The Old Royal Naval College will play host to the inaugural Greenwich Wintertime Festival. The seasonal festival aims to create an experience that doesn’t leave punters standing in long queues for their activities. Instead, ticket holders will be admitted in 3-hour sessions to ease crowd control and give everyone better access to the programme of events.
The festival will include entertainment from the likes of Hackney Colliery Band, The Puppini Sisters, Sons of Pitches, ice skating displays, acrobats and magic tricks from Morgan & West. There is also an ice rink, and a Christmas market featuring local designers and independent brands and plenty of street food and drink on offer. And if that lot isn’t festive enough for you, live screenings of the classic animated tear-jerker The Snowman accompanied by a brass band will melt even the hardest of hearts.
Tickets can be bought for morning, afternoon or evening sessions. Evening tickets are £3 more, and ice skating is an additional £10.
