Sadly there isn’t going to be a street carnival in Hackney this year; instead their website says there will be ‘a number of events and activities delivered by and with Hackney Carnival’s Stakeholder group of 17 bands’ taking place across the summer.
Activities range from community dance projects, drumming and dance workshops, carnival costume projects and summer camps for kids. Check their website for details.
