Get festive, do your bit for charity and do some exercise before the weeks of indulging begin with this great day out in London. The Njinga Santa Cycle is in its 7th year and gathers Santa-suited cyclists together to travel 20km to deliver gifts to children at Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospice. Last year over 100 Santas joined and were lead by their reindeer guides to the children who won’t be able to leave the hospice this Christmas season.
This year looks to be bigger than ever, with a goal of 200 riders. All participants must register in advance (free), wear a Santa Suit and bring an unwrapped gift. There will be prizes for best costumes, best bike decoration and the most money raised.
Donations for this great cause are encouraged, and this year’s goal is £10,000.
