Enter a world of secret gardens and hidden spaces, as normally restricted and private gardens open to the public for just two days.
Six new spaces join old favourites for London Open Gardens 2025, with over 100 participating gardens across various boroughs in support of the work of London Parks and Gardens (LPG). Open spaces include not only formal gardens but also rooftop terraces, wild patches and community allotments, and this year includes Marlborough House which is returning for the first time since 2017.
Further gardens are to be announced soon on their website.

What’s on for 2025
Many gardens will be hosting events – everything from live music and botanical drawing workshops to tours, talks, refreshments, children’s activities and plants for purchase. Events and accessibility info for each garden are catalogued on the London Gardens Trust’s list of participating venues, which can be sorted by borough or area and then filtered by garden type. It will also give you opening times for each garden; not all venues are open for the full weekend, so remember to check when you plan your visit.

London Open Gardens are also offering guided walks and cycle tours, available to ticketholders as an ‘added extra’ for a small fee (although you’ll need to get in quick!). Tours will be at a gentle pace suitable for all ages and will uncover secrets from the oldest city gardens. Expert guides will take small groups through illuminating journeys of discovery along ancient streets, Thames side paths and through ruins, with some trails provided especially for families.
Tour tickets must be booked in advance; simply use your ticket booking reference to book walks and tours once they are released for sale.
