“Get your ghoul on” as Organoke Halloween Spooktacular returns to the Grade II listed Neo Gothic St Giles, Camberwell on Saturday 31 October, marking ten years of London’s most joyfully chaotic karaoke night, as a live band and The Mighty Organ turn karaoke classics into a collective sing along like nothing else in London.
Hostess with the mostess Ida Barr presides over the pews, packed with the year’s most creative fancy dress, as hundreds of voices belt out spooky smash hits together. After the interval, the Tombola of Dreams decides which of the braver guests take the mic to go solo like Freddy Mercury on tour.
Heaven or Hell? Who can tell?
Can’t sing? The crowd will drown you out. Won’t sing? You will by the first chorus.
Expect a “truly original spiritual experience, full of communal joy…that should be available on the NHS” voted as London’s “most brilliantly bonkers night out”.
Organoke was created in 2016 to raise awareness and funds for the restoration of St Giles’ 1844 organ “Seb,” and profits from every show go towards its ongoing upkeep and future restoration.
