Introducing Ronnie’s Lates – a brand-new series of gigs taking the legendary energy of the Ronnie Scott’s Late Late Show out of Soho and into the beating heart of London’s grassroots music scene.
The gigs will be bringing some of their favourite emerging musicians to the venues shaping the next generation of UK jazz, starting with Ronnie’s Lates: South at Peckham Levels with Creature. + MADELEINE. Expect serious talent, close-up, no-filter performances, and the same unmistakable Ronnie’s spirit, just in a new postcode.
A Ronnie Scott’s Late Late Show regular, Creature. presents a fusion of club-ready jazz and broken beat, designed specifically for London dancefloors. Perhaps best known for his work as a session player for emerging artists like Yaya Bey and Cosmo Pyke, Creature. (AKA Jim Cornelissen) cites Yussef Dayes and Alfa Mist as influences, as well as footwork producer Machinedrum and Flying Lotus.
