A bold new food festival celebrating the vibrant world of pickling, fermentation and brining is set to make its debut in East London this September. The Big Brine, headline sponsored by Vadasz pickles and ferments, will take over Hackney Bridge on 12th & 13th September, bringing together some of the UK’s top fermenters, picklers, chefs and food and drink innovators for a weekend packed with flavour, creativity and good vibes.
Visitors can expect an exciting programme of live chef demonstrations, interactive workshops, tastings, and music, alongside a curated selection of the country’s most exciting producers and food talent. A dedicated Demo Stage will host well-known chefs sharing their expertise and creativity, while hands on workshops will give visitors the chance to roll up their sleeves and learn the craft themselves.
On Saturday night, the festival will turn up the energy with a special after-party featuring DJs and drag queens, transforming Hackney Bridge into a late-night celebration of food, culture and community.
The festival will run across three sessions:
Saturday 12 September: 11:30 – 16:30
Saturday 12 September (Evening Session): 17:30 – 22:30
Sunday 13 September: 12:00 – 17:00
With its mix of food culture, education, entertainment and community, The Big Brine aims to become the UK’s ultimate gathering for pickle and fermentation lovers, curious foodies and anyone who enjoys bold flavours and great vibes.
