Outernet London and Pixel Artworks have launched the world’s first mixed reality experience – The Butterfly Trail. The groundbreaking technology enables visitors to hold their own butterfly on the tip of their finger in a deeply immersive experience.
The experience will guide visitors through the Botanical Workshop of intrepid explorer Professor Peter Pelgrin, and into his Glass House where they can explore the experience. Using their smartphone, visitors will be able to interact with their environment, release magical AR butterflies and trigger real-time animations.
The Butterfly Trail is free and will play daily between 12pm-6pm across the giant 4-storey high wrap-around screens at the Now Building, Outernet’s flagship space.
