Famous for its Brutalist architecture, the Barbican Centre is in the heart of the City of London, and is home to a concert hall, two theatres, two art galleries, three cinemas, a library and a lakeside terrace – but did you know there is also a huge glasshouse conservatory on the roof?
The Barbican Conservatory is home to 1,500 species of plants and trees under a 23,000 square foot glass and steel roof, and the perfect place to unwind in the centre of the city. The conservatory is open to the public on select days of the week; entry to explore this hidden botanical oasis is free, with tickets for time slots released online a month in advance.
Organisers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
