Westfield London is giving Christmas gifting an unexpected twist with the arrival of ‘Wrapping Rappers’ – a playful new experience where rap meets ribbon and festive stories are turned into live freestyle performances.
Across two December evenings, shoppers can hand over their purchases and watch as performers wrap each item while creating personalised verses inspired by the gifts, the recipients and all things seasonal.
The series launches on Tuesday 9th December from 6pm to 8pm with an unmissable performance from Harvey of So Solid Crew, who will take to the ‘gift-rap’ station with a set spanning crowd favourites including the iconic “21 Seconds”, alongside new material. He’ll be joined by Twin MCs, the former So Solid members who won over viewers on last year’s series of The Voice.
After the performance, Harvey will turn customer anecdotes into freestyle lines as he wraps presents in Westfield-exclusive paper, creating a unique festive moment for each shopper.
A second event follows on 18th December from 7pm to 8pm, when Masters of Ceremonies – the group behind the UK garage classic “Do You Really Like It?” and formed by DJ Pied Piper, Unknown MC, Sharky P and DT – take to the mic. Rising artist and local Londoner Young Athena will close the evening with her latest singles and signature stage presence.
Free entry. Walk-ins only, with entry given in order of arrival.
