Battersea Power Station is home to over 150 shops, bars and restaurants alongside leisure and entertainment venues.

Upon its completion in 1955, Battersea Power Station was the world’s largest brick building (six million bricks, in case you wanted to know). It was big enough to fit St. Paul’s Cathedral inside its main boiler room.

After being decommissioned in the 70s, the building fell into disrepair. It was too architecturally significant to demolish, but too big to do anything with. Over the years, various plans were proposed, including turning it into a theme park or a stadium for Chelsea F.C. It finally reopened as a visitor attraction in 2022, 40 years after closing as a power station.
