Confused about what you need to vote in an election? You’re not the only one.
As London’s mayoral elections approach on 2nd May, a new nationally representative YouGov poll of 4103 adults in Britain for Brixton Brewery has discovered a worrying lack of knowledge about election rules and what you need to be eligibile to vote – including having a photo ID.
Brixton Brewery to the rescue; ‘Snappy Hour’ is a free photo booth at local pub Vaulty Towers, just around the corner from Waterloo station, to help you prepare your ID for the elections. The photo booth will be available between 6pm and 10pm on 29th March and 5th April at the Vaulty Towers pub which can be found at 34 Lower Marsh, London SE1 7RG.
There is also a new voting system in place; find out more over a beer with the brewery’s limited edition run of rebranded cans of its best-selling beer, Reliance Pale Ale – newly named ‘Yes We Cans’. Each can has a QR code which directs you to a website with all the deets. The cans will be available for free at pop-up events and sent via Brixton Brewery’s website in place of Reliance Pale Ale to drinkers across the country between now and the elections on 2nd May.
