Monday 2nd December will see the launch of the Shakespearean festive season at Theatre Royal Drury Lane with Christmas lights, decorative installations and Christmas carols from Some Voices at 7pm, as well as personalised poems from The Poetry Takeaway for one night only.
Gather by the foyer steps inside the theatre from 7pm to enjoy Some Voices Choir singing Christmas favourites as Theatre Royal Drury Lane opens the Christmas season, see its full Christmas makeover and receive a completely personalised poem from The Poetry Takeaway. While you’re there, why not enjoy a seasonal cocktail at Cecil Beaton Bar, or festive drinks and snacks at the newly-decorated heated terrace overlooking bustling Covent Garden?
The Lane’s Christmas Regency Afternoon Tea is back, so you can book in for scones and sweet treats curated by baker-to-the-stars Lily Vanilli, with savoury bites made by The Lane’s in-house chefs, all topped off with festive decorations and cheer. Christmas Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12 noon in The Grand Saloon; its gilded high ceilings, large windows and crystal chandeliers create a true sense of Regency grandeur – the perfect treat this Christmas.
The Lane’s Afternoon Tea is open to everyone, not just theatre ticket holders, and remains the only opportunity to enjoy food and drink in a busy West End theatre this festive season.
