Grab some bargain spicy snacks for £5 at this NW1 community-led street celebration for one of London’s most diverse and culturally rich streets.
The evening will commence from 6pm, and guests will be invited to explore cuisines from across South Asia and beyond. Each of the 15 restaurants on Drummond Street will be serving up tasters of their signature specials for just £5. Try Aloo Chana Chat from Ravi Shankar, Garlic Chilli Chicken from Taste of India, or Flaming Loaded Fries from Fat Fellar, all to be enjoyed on the newly reinstalled Streatery furniture designed in partnership with architects, Jan Kattein.
As well as food and drink, drop by the House of Henna collective and get some body art using natural henna and jagua ink, all for free! There’s also an Arabic Calligraphy workshop to let loose your creative side, traditional Bollywood dance performances and then DJ sets blasting some old school Bollywood, Punjabi bangers, and Bengali new wave to continue the party vibes and good times until the sun goes down.
The Drummond Street Summer Sundowner is the first in a series of events, helping to reunite and celebrate this historic street in partnership with Euston Town BID-, Drummond Street traders, Jan Kattein Architects and Camden Council.
The event is held in Drummond Street, NW1 2HL and will follow the Regent’s Roots arts and community festival, which will take place earlier in the day at the other end of the street from 12PM.
