Light & Land on the Mall

Photography tour company Light & Land is celebrating its 30th year with a free exhibition at the Mall Galleries, in association with CEWE.

The exhibition will showcase breathtaking landscape photographs from some of today’s leading photographers with a dramatic range of style and approaches, offering an extraordinary glimpse into the world of today’s outdoor photography – from traditional landscapes, architecture and street, to wildlife, documentary, and much more.

Exhibitors include:
· Charlie Waite is the founder of Light & Land and the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year competition, and one of the most respected landscape photographers in the industry. Charlie’s style combines graphic finesse with an almost spiritual quality of calm and serenity.

· Bill Ward is a multi-award-winning photographer and actor who specialises in creative photography and is particularly drawn to water. As an actor, he has performed in over 30 television shows and films, and over 50 plays.

· Astrid McGechan draws her inspiration from scenes in the natural world that evoke a sense of tranquillity and harmony, but is equally fascinated by street life and architecture, capturing her response using a variety of techniques.

· Peter Hendrie attended seven Light & Land trips as a client before becoming a tour guide himself. He’s won the Iconic section of The Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) competition and has a passion for landscapes and seascapes.

Young photographers, including the 2023 winner of Young Landscape Photographer of the Year Aaron Northwood and many of those whose images were Highly Commended, will also exhibit their work.
