What to expect
The market covers pretty much all aspects of game culture, from video games to board games to tabletop RPGs. Vendors range from seasoned pros to a few private sellers, so it’s not unusual to see imported games and merch you won’t find in your usual stores.
Tickets for London Gaming Market
Regular access starts at 1pm, and costs just £3.00. If you’re looking to grab some deals, early birds can get in for £7.00 from 11am with Advance tickets (under 16s go free) or at 12 noon with second door tickets for £4.00. The show calms down a little after 2pm so you are less likely to have to queue.
Getting to London Gaming Market
Situated in the Royal National Hotel, you shouldn’t have any trouble getting to London Gaming Market. Russell Square on the Piccadilly line is by far the closest tube station. That said, King’s Cross is within 15 minutes’ walk, making the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, Victoria and Northern lines viable options too. Holborn on the Central line is also just 10 minutes away on foot.
