Nature | Connected

Free

Nature | Connected by the award-winning sound and light artist, Natural Symphony, is a first-of-its-kind exhibition. It explores the profound connection between nature and humanity and invites visitors to step inside an immersive installation and engage with plants at its heart.

Designed to rekindle our bond with the natural world, this exhibition offers a unique sensory experience which immerses visitors in nature’s healing power, inspiring us to take action to protect our environment. Guided by handmade biofeedback devices and creative coding, the installation is entirely controlled by living plants and responds to human interaction with stunning real-time visual and audio effects, creating a mesmerising symphony of sights and sounds.

Beneath the canopy, screens flicker with vivid video of 360-degree worlds showcasing bio-diversity rich habitats – leaves trembling in the breeze, rain tapping against the earth, clouds drifting. Each scene is controlled by the plants’ unseen forces and merges the organic with the digital in a dance of harmony and disruption. Nature | Connected is the first installation in the five-part Human | Nature series by Natural Symphony.

Natural Symphony is the stage name for London artist, Joey Dean, who uses handmade instruments to detect the bio-rhythms in plants and trees, transforming them into live electronic music and immersive, interactive art. Nature | Connected forms part of the Super Nature campaign at King’s Cross, a three-month initiative aimed at nurturing people and the planet. It will run until 29 June, coinciding with Earthfest, a four-day sustainability festival in King’s Cross (5-8 June), and London Climate Action Week (21-29 June).
