Families in Tower Hamlets can look forward to an exciting summer holiday season this year as the council’s Summer of Fun 2024 programme begins.
Offering a variety of free inter-generational family activities and events, the Summer of Fun 2024 programme includes sport, adventure, cookery, drama, dance, youth theatre, cinema, arts and crafts, and more. Through the programme, the council is giving children and families opportunities to make the most of facilities and take part in physical activities in the borough’s parks and open spaces and Be Well leisure centres.
Those attending can explore, learn, develop and have fun at Children and Family Hubs, increase their engagement with arts, culture and creativity at the borough’s Idea Stores, and join activities at community centres.
Many of the activities offer a free meal, supporting families who may be experiencing hardship, especially during the long school break and when the cost-of-living crisis continues to impact families.
Organisers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
