Wild Life Drawing – Animals of the Tarot

£35.00 (advance sales)

Ever wish life drawing classes were a little more . . . wild?

Get up close with a range of animals in this very cool wild life drawing class. There are a number of different classes available, including this one on animals of the tarot; meet and draw a range of animals such as snakes, tortoises, mice, lizards and snails. Tarot expert Jen Cownie (one half of Litwitchure) will talk about the different roles that animals play within the cards and their meaning. There will also be discussions on world mythology and folklore, and how the stories we tell about animals can have an impact on their conservation.

Artist and illustrator Jennie Webber will be leading the class, with tips on drawing the mystical models and advice on how to include the symbolism of the tarot into your animal portraits. (If tarot is not your thing, don’t worry; you can just concentrate on the animals.)

Classes run from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm; 10% of the ticket price will be donated to South Essex Wildlife Hospital.

Venue: The Loom Club, Unit 23, The Ivories, 6 Northampton St, London N1 2HY
