Timing: 6:30 pm–10 pm, Saturday, March 21st Price: Paint Mate art class Paint Mate is an art class for people who want to have fun, rather than those with any actual artistic talent. They're holding a Mother’s Day special at Rotate, the multi-purpose cafe/bar in central Shoreditch. A soulful R&B soundtrack and unlimited prosecco and punch make this popular London Mother's Day event a surefire winner. Timing: 2 pm–5 pm, Sunday, March 22nd Price: From Zero waste workshop On the slightly pricier end of the scale is a Zero Waste workshop, held at Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant and Castle. Led by Bottega, the plastic-free beauty brand, you and your mum will learn to make natural lip balm, roll-on perfume and bespoke moisturising cream. You can then decorate and personalise each product to suit your taste. Timing: 3 pm–5 pm, Saturday, March 21st Price: Mother’s Day fair Head to Stoke Newington Methodist Church for a special Mother’s Day fair. Designers, brands and artists are coming together to sell an array of crafty goods, which can be browsed for free. Timing: 12 pm–4 pm, Saturday, March 21st Cost: free City Garden walk Footprints of London, the guided walks for and by those who love London, is offering a special ‘City Garden’ Mother’s Day walk where mums go free. Explore London’s unusual hidden parks and gardens, and learn how they came into existence and why they’re so crucial to the city. Timing: 11 am-1 pm, Sunday, March 22nd Cost: (mums go free) A Vagina Museum party It feels strangely appropriate to celebrate Mother's Day at the Vagina Museum, don't you think? It's three years since Florence Schechter, the museum's founder, tweeted on a whim that the world should have a vagina museum—and now there is one!
