The Southbank Centre is hosting the UK’s first major exhibition on The Moomins. Adventures in Moominland is an interactive celebration of the magical creation by Finnish author Tove Jansson as part of the SC’s Winter Festival. Visitors can explore archive on loan from Moomin Characters Ltd and Tampere Art Museum, including illustrations, artworks and 3D models as well as personal items from Tove Jansson’s studio.
Take a walk through Moominvalley, and navigate your way through its forests, caves and high seas in seven immersive worlds and landscapes. The tour also includes a reproduction of the author’s studio and ideal for entertaining curious young minds. The exhibition is suitable for children ages 7 +, but there is two weekday off peak sessions for adults only on Thursdays and Fridays and 7 pm.
