An annual festival celebrating the area’s rich history and culture with events taking place in various venues around Bloomsbury. Established in 2006, Bloomsbury Festival is a creative explosion of arts, culture and science. Events in previous years have included street parties, dance and music performances, scientific workshops, interactive games, themed walks and talks.

This year the theme is ‘Breathe’ with 100 events taking place over ten days. Many of the programmed activities are free, but booking is recommended for the more popular events. The festival is also a great opportunity to visit museums, galleries, arts venues, bookshops, laboratories and even some private buildings.
Organisers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
