Books: Used and Abused

9:30am – 5:00pm
Free

Take a look at some of the unusual ways books have been adorned and admired in centuries gone by with this intriguing and unique exhibition at the Guildhall Library. Whether it has been transformed into a box or bible, the variety of creative uses that sit between covers is exceptional, and not to be missed. The exhibition will add to last year’s collection with examples from across the library’s collections. The exhibition is free and available during opening hours, except for during afternoon talks, which are listed here. The gallery has extended opening hours on Wednesday and you can visit until 7.30pm. It is also open on selected Saturdays from 9.30am – 5pm – please check their schedule to confirm dates.

Organisers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
