If Edinburgh’s a bit of a trek, why not head to the Camden Fringe instead this August?
Returning for a 17th year with its biggest line-up yet, featuring nearly 300 acts across over 24 venues throughout Camden (and edging out into Highgate to Covent Garden and beyond), it’s a great and affordable alternative with the same mix of cool, edgy, imaginative and experimental theatre and comedy performances.
Acclaimed stand-up Rachel Fairburn will be testing out her new show Showgirl for 3 nights at 2Northdown before heading out on a 36-date UK tour. Camden Fringe regular Matt Green is back with a new show which has already sold out its Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe runs – there’s just a handful of tickets remain for his Camden performances, so get booking.
If you like to get involved, audience suggestions will be required for 20 different improvised shows in the line-up. These include an ad-libbed Greek tragedy (Absurdocles) and an off-the-cuff zombie apocalypse (Improv the Dead).
Ticket prices start at just £5 and are capped at £20. Don’t miss this one.
Organisers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
