‘Channel your inner Winter Olympian with Club Curling at King’s Cross. There’s an alpine vibe this year and six multi-coloured, sustainable curling lanes with sessions for just £7 per person. Great fun for both mates and dates, it’s also the perfect activity for families to get into the holiday spirit as children under 12 play for free when accompanied by an adult.
Teams of up to six can play from 12pm to 8pm every day, with sessions lasting 45 minutes. Players are encouraged to pre-book online to avoid disappointment, although some lanes may be available for walk-ins. After all that exertion, enjoy some post-game refreshments at the après ski bar, which will be serving up a selection of festive hot chocolates, hot toddies and delicious alpine cocktails.
Cheapo top tip: follow the alpine ski signs towards Granary Square past the festoon lighting and onto the Canal Side Steps, where you’ll find a fun interactive ski-scene selfie moment before heading on to Coal Drops Yard for Club Curling.
This winter, King’s Cross will be donating a proportion of the proceeds from Club Curling to homelessness charity, Shelter (which has a charity retail shop in Coal Drops Yard, see our article on London’s Posh Charity Shops) and local youth homelessness charity, New Horizon Youth Centre.Organisers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
