Take a ride on an illuminated train line through the Essex countryside for a winter journey with a fully immersive lightshow linked to a festive soundtrack, dazzling trackside illuminations and interactive LED wristbands. This year it once again features “Voiceover Man” (as heard on Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor).
The plan is for the train to be hauled by a steam locomotive for part of the journey, although they reserve the right to substitute a diesel if needs be. You can book your own compartment for up to eight people (£200.00), or seats for six (£150.00); standard seating areas are located around tables of 4 either side of a central aisle. These seats are not allocated and you may sit anywhere. The journey lasts about 90 minutes. Check the website for times and dates, as the train only runs on certain days.
Alas, Santa will not be appearing on these trains – he and the elves will be busy wrapping presents. However there are some special train times where you can catch a ride with Santa.
