Say goodbye Christmas and a temporary goodbye to the museum itself as the Geffrye museum closes its doors for a 2-year-long regeneration project. The Farewell Christmas party on Saturday Evening will feature street food, winter cocktails and mulled wine, with live music and an excellent chance to grab some bargains from the shop as it holds a closing sale. Enjoy warming treats as you listen to tales of the Epiphany and enjoy the ritualistic burning of holly and ivy.
On the Sunday you can visit the museum for the final time and enjoy performances by Timberlina and feminist showgirl Brigitte Aphrodite as well as try your hand at the craft workshops, glitter workshops with puptart and learn about the museum’s plans for the future. There’s a whole host of talks and entertainment planned, so be sure to check out their schedule to avoid missing the highlights!
