Festival14 is a brand new four-day arts festival across several sites in Canary Wharf. The programme will include live music, comedy, outdoor theatre, dance and family activities. Everything is free except the comedy sessions and the family rave but some performances require booking in advance – please check the website for details.
The main stage in Canada Square Park will host free music acts including hip hop legend Grandmaster Flash, disco icon Jocelyn Brown, the House Gospel Choir and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra. Westferry Circus will be transformed into an outdoor theatre, featuring Shakespearean plays from 440 Theatre and The HandleBards, with evening comedy including Milton Jones, Paul Sinha, Reginald D Hunter, Dane Baptiste and Felicity Ward.
Busk in London will also be providing music in Jubilee Park, with theatre and cabaret in the Crossrail Place Roof Garden. In addition to the area’s restaurants and bars, which will be running special offers throughout the event, there will be a street food market on Montgomery Square to fuel the fun.
