Prepare to be a weird combination of inspired, impressed and hungry at this year’s Gingerbread City, filled with incr-edible displays (see what we did there?).
It’s very cool, and pretty much what it says on the tin: a whole city made of gingerbread, with moving parts and a working train. The theme for 2025 is ‘The Playful City’, which will be interpreted, designed and built by architects and designers.
Tickets for the Gingerbread City

Entry tickets cost £13.50 for adults and £8.50 for under 13s. Kids under three go free. Allow about 30-40 minutes to go round the exhibition; see each day’s ticketing page for times on the 24th, 26th, 31st and the 1st of January. Closed on Christmas Day.
Workshops at the Gingerbread City

The hour-long gingerbread workshop add-on is your opportunity to get involved in the Gingerbread City yourself, and includes everything you’ll need to create your very own on-trend gingerbread house. The workshop can be shared between 2-4 people (with at least one adult); see their website for details.
