London Marathon 2024

Free

Cheer on the long-distance runners along the world-famous 26 mile course.

Starting in Greenwich Park and finishing at The Mall, SW1, there is always a huge crowd and an exciting atmosphere. The biggest crowds of spectators are usually gathered on Tower Bridge and along the Embankment, as well as at the finish line. Another good option is to pick a spot South Colonnade, Cabot Square or Westferry at Canary Wharf, where you can watch mile 19 surrounded by over 70 cafes, bars and restaurants (and customer toilets).

See the official website for full route details, and spectator info. You can download a map of the route and there is also an official app if you want to track friends or family taking part.

If you’re keen to join in, ballot entry for the following year closes shortly after the event.

Organisers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
