Get ready for a slap-tastic night of culinary combat, Mexican vibes and mouth-watering freebies at Market Place Vauxhall.
Taking place on 29th November, the tortilla slap championship will see one lucky winner walk away with 52 weeks of free tacos from Streat Latin and a weekly margarita courtesy of Market Place – while spectators can enjoy free tacos and margaritas during the event.
The grand prize will be awarded to the winner of Market Place’s unique tortilla-slapping championship, where 32 competitors will face off in a hilarious contest inspired by the viral TikTok trend.
The celebration goes far beyond just free food and drinks. Market Place and Streat Latin have curated a full Mexican-themed experience featuring spectacular Lucha Libre wrestling performances and a vibrant mariachi band.

“This isn’t just about watching people slap each other with tortillas – though that’s obviously brilliant. We’re creating a full-on Mexican fiesta to welcome Streat Latin to Market Place. Think wrestling, mariachi, free tacos, and probably the most ridiculous competition London’s ever seen.”
Note: Free margaritas and tacos are first come, first served, limited to one per customer for first 100 attendees on 29th Nov 2025, 3pm-4pm.
