Located on a hill in Greenwich Park, the Royal Observatory marks the position of the prime meridian and has played a major part in the history of astronomy.

Probably due to the complexities of COVID-19, admission prices have been bumped up significantly to £16.00 for adults and £8.00 for kids. The Royal Museums Greenwich Day Pass also gives access to Royal Observatory along with the Cutty Sark for £25.00 and £12.50 for adults and children respectively, a saving of £6.00/£6.00 over buying separate tickets for each.

If coming by public transport, the closest station is Cutty Sark on the Dockland Light Rail. The nearest parking to the observatory is at the National Maritime Museum, which is a 20 minute walk away.
