Chanukah in the Square hasn’t happened since 2019, but we’re hopeful it will go ahead in 2021. We’ll update details here as they are available.
To celebrate Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, a giant menorah is lit up in Trafalgar Square. The main lighting ceremony celebration last took place on Sunday 22nd December, 2019 with live music and dancing, with the menorah on display over all eight days of Chanukah.
The event is put on by The Jewish Leadership Council, Chabad Lubavitch UK and the London Jewish Forum and is supported by the Mayor of London.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Get all the info on what's on in London direct to your inbox.
