Canary Wharf is mostly known as a business district for high flyers. And for having little in the way of culture or nightlife compared to other neighbourhoods. Thanks to the local legion of office workers, there are plenty of decent lunch options. But sadly, shutters tend to come down after office hours.
The truth is, there’s very little reason to visit Canary Wharf unless you work there, or there’s a specific event going on. Perhaps the most famous time to go is during the annual winter light festival. During this time, Canary Wharf briefly becomes a bustling hub of art and activity in the evening.
