South Kensington is a very fancy area, fortunately, it’s also one of the best places to enjoy things to do on a budget. Step out of the Tube, and you’ll immediately see a cluster of London’s most famous museums on Museum Mile. Entrance to the Victoria and Albert (V&A), and Natural History Museum, and Science Museum is free. Take a stroll down the landscaped Exhibition Road which, is a wide avenue shared by cars and pedestrians.
It is also home to world-famous venue The Royal Albert Hall which hosts a mix of classical and contemporary music performances. Despite its affluent residential air, there are a few decent options for dining on a budget too from well-known chains like Leon and Carluccios to independent places like Wildwood, or Star of India.
